FOXBOROUGH, Mass. –Tom Brady completed 38-of-59 passes for 466 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in the Patriots 40-32 victory over the Bills this past Sunday. Once again, the team's success reflected in its local ratings, as the divisional game was viewed by 72 percent of those watching television in the Boston market. The 72 market share ties it for the second-largest in Patriots history for a non-playoff game. It was bested only by a Week 17 matchup against at the New York Giants, which sealed an undefeated season for the Patriots in 2007 and garnered a market share of 75.
Patriots at Bills also tied for the second-highest rated Week 2 contest in Patriots history with a 34.2 household rating. The Patriots highest-rated Week 2 matchup also featured a Rex Ryan-led divisional opponent when the Patriots played at the Jets on Sept. 19, 2010.
WBZ Channel 4's broadcast of the game was the No. 1 ranked show in the Boston market for the week, followed by the Republican National Debate which delivered a 15.1 household rating and a market share of 26. Patriots 5th Quarter enjoyed success as the No. 3 ranked show in the Boston area with a 13.6 household rating and a market share of 28, and the primetime Sunday night contest between the Seahawks and the Packers rounded out the top four with a 13.1 household rating and a market share of 24.
Next week, the Patriots return home to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday Sept. 27 at 1 p.m. Brady will enter the game with 399 career touchdown passes.
