Jerod Mayo, Linebacker
(On playing in his first playoff game)
"You can't really use games like that, the NFL is a whole different league and it's a whole different level of play. I don't really know what to expect. I just know how to play football and that's what I'm going to do."
(On how the Ravens are a 'smart offense')
"It's just the checks that they do, the multiple things, the unbalanced lines and things like that. They do a lot of things on offense, so that's why the film study is important. And that's what I'm about to go do right now."
Jarvis Green, Defensive Lineman
(On advice given to the younger players on playing playoff football)
"It's just to play hard, play 60 minutes. The playoffs are just a different level of football. The regular season is behind us. We're going to need everybody."
(On stopping the Ravens offense)
"I mean, we all have to do our part. We have to go out there and play football. Our job is to stop the opponent from scoring touchdowns and we know it's going to be a tough game with Baltimore coming here. It's the playoffs."
(On how special it is to return to the playoffs)
"It's very, very [special]. Actually, at this time, a lot of guys are saying their goodbyes. It's a privilege and an honor to be in the playoffs. Everybody comes in for training camp, looking forward to the chance to get in the playoffs. It's a special time. Everybody in the locker room knows this is going to be tough, but we're just getting ready for Sunday."
Tully Banta-Cain, Linebacker
(On how Adalius Thomas contributes to the defense)
"I think he's very valuable. His presence alone definitely adds to our intimidation factor - he's just a big guy. But I think he's proven. He's made a lot of plays in his career. Right now, everybody's level of play is going to go up and if his game goes up - he is one of the most dominant players in the game. So if we get that out of him, we will be sitting pretty."
(On watching film of Ray Rice)
"He's just slippery. He's a short guy, but he's not a little guy. He runs real hard. He breaks a lot of tackles. He gets in the open field. He's able to pull away from defensive backs, so he's got break-away speed. He's got a lot of gifts and he's a threat when he gets the ball."
(On Rice's productivity and the difficulty of having to deal with a receiving threat)
"We have played other backs that catch the ball in the backfield. But I mean, especially him, he does bring that whole element of being able to catch the ball and break tackles and take it the distance. So he's kind of like a Leon Washington, where he's a guy who can explode at any time in the game, you can never take your eyes off of him."
(On watching film of Baltimore now, in comparison to the last time playing them)
"I think they have been doing a lot of the same things. They're a team that just does what they do. They line up and play. They don't try to trick you out or overly scheme you. They're going to go out there and line up and play smash-mouth football and we're going to have to do the same."
Junior Seau, Linebacker(On importance of this game)
"It's an important game. To go out and play a game that's a do or die situation, you can't over emphasize it enough. And what we try to do is go out there and try to play with the intensity that we need to practice with. But more importantly, we need to have the urgency now, every day."
(On looking forward to this game)
"We are excited every day and obviously we try to position ourselves on Wednesday, Thursday and now we have Friday coming about and hopefully we can position ourselves to win on Sunday. Every day is just positioning, that's all it is."
(On what to expect from the Ravens offense)
"[They are] a hard nose football team. They are tough and very talented. Obviously, we all know about their defense. They do a lot of great things [on offense] and [Ray] Rice is a great running back. He's out there making a name for himself. It's the postseason, so there's no hiding anymore. They know what we do and we know what they do so it's all about execution from here on out."
(On the importance of playing at home)
"It's very important, but at the same time, we're not going to take that for granted. We still have to go out there and execute. It's all about execution and being able to be the player that you need to be that day for every play that you have."
(On the Ravens running the ball)
"Smash-mouth football is something that they do and do very well. That's one of the things that they do well. So we're just going to have to play the defensive scheme which we have and the game plan which we have been practicing for the past three days and go from there. And hopefully, it will be enough."
