FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots announced that they have re-signed WR Phillip Dorsett. Terms of the contract were not announced.
Dorsett, 26, is a veteran of four NFL seasons with Indianapolis (2015-16) and New England (2017-18). The 5-foot-10, 192-pounder, originally entered the NFL as a first round draft pick (29th overall) of Indianapolis in the 2015 NFL Draft out of Miami. He was acquired by New England from Indianapolis in a trade in exchange for QB Jacoby Brissett on Sept. 2, 2017. Overall, Dorsett has played in 57 NFL games with 11 starts and has 95 receptions for 1,237 yards and six touchdowns. He has also played in five postseason games with seven receptions for 120 yards and two touchdowns.Ā
Last season, Dorsett played in all 16 regular-season games with two starts and finished with 32 receptions for 290 yards and three touchdowns. He also played in all three postseason games with five receptions for 70 yards and two touchdowns.
