FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots announced today that they have released OL Chase Farris.

Farris, 24, spent the majority of last season on the New England practice squad after first being signed to the squad on Oct. 5, 2016. The 6-foot-4, 295-pounder, was originally signed by the Detroit Lions as a rookie free agent out of Ohio State on May 6, 2016. He was released by Detroit on Aug. 29, 2016, and spent a couple of weeks on the Lions practice squad before being released on Sept. 21, 2016.
