FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots announced that they signed LB Nicholas Grigsby to the 53-man roster from the Baltimore practice squad and signed OL Jason King.
Grigsby, 25, went to training camp this year with the L.A. Rams and was released prior to the start of the regular season. The 6-foot-2, 230-pounder then joined the Baltimore practice squad on September 19. Grigsby originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with the L.A. Rams on May 6, 2016, out of Pittsburgh. He was released by Los Angeles on Sept. 8, 2016, and signed with the Rams practice squad on Sept. 12, 2016 before being added to the 53-man roster on Nov. 22, 2016. Grigsby appeared in the final six regular season games as a reserve and did not accrue any statistics.
King, 24, was most recently released by Baltimore from the practice squad on Nov. 14, 2017. The 6-foot-4, 310-pounder was originally signed by the New England Patriots as a rookie free agent from Purdue on May 5, 2017. King went through training camp with the team and was released prior to the start of the regular season. He was signed by New England to the practice squad on September 20, and released on October 9, before joining the Ravens practice squad on October 31.
