FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots filled two more practice squad positions today with the signing of rookie RB Javarris James and TE Jeron Mastrud.
New England now has six players signed to their eight-man practice squad.
James, 6-0, 215 pounds, originally signed with Indianapolis as a rookie free agent out of Miami on April 30, 2010. He was a four-year letterman at Miami, who finished his career with 2,162 yards and 18 touchdowns.
Mastrud, 6-6, 253 pounds, originally signed with Tampa Bay as a rookie free agent out of Kansas State on April 26, 2010. He appeared in 48 games and finished his college career ranked 18th in school history and first among tight ends with 1,219 receiving yards.
