PATRIOTS OFF TO A 7-0 START FOR 3rd TIME IN TEAM HISTORY

The Patriots are off to a 7-0 start for the 3rd time in team history (2007, 2015 and 2019).

PATRIOTS EARN 20TH SERIES SWEEP OVER THE NEW YORK JETS;

EARN FOURTH STRAIGHT SERIES SWEEP

The Patriots earned their 20th series sweep over the Jets, 13th since Robert Kraft purchased the team in 1994, 11th under Bill Belichick and their fourth straight overall. New England's last loss to the Jets was an overtime defeat in New York on Dec. 27, 2015. It is a team-record fourth straight series sweep for the Patriots. The team had a three-year series sweep from 2003-2005. It is also the seventh straight win over the Jets, tying for the longest streak in the annual history. The Patriots also won seven straight from 2003 through 2006.

PATRIOTS HAVE WON 12 STRAIGHT GAMES DATING BACK TO 2018

The Patriots have now won 12 straight games dating back to the 2018 season, including the postseason.

PATRIOTS HAVE LARGEST POINT DIFFERENTIAL THROUGH FIRST SEVEN GAMES

The Patriots have the largest point differential through the first seven games in the Super Bowl era with a +175 point differential.

PATRIOTS HAVE ALLOWED JUST 48 POINTS IN 2019

The Patriots have allowed 48 points in 2019. Since the NFL moved to a 16-game schedule, only seven teams have allowed under 200 points for the year. Through seven games, the team is on pace to allow just 110 points for the season, which would be the fewest in NFL history. The 1977 Patriots allowed 217 points in a 14-game season. The Patriots fewest points allowed in a 16-game season was 237 in 2006. The NFL record for fewest points in a 16-game season was the 2000 Baltimore Ravens, who allowed 165 total points. Of the Patriots' 48 points allowed this season, 21 points were scored on turnovers returned for touchdowns (two fumbles and one interception returned for touchdowns).

PATRIOTS ON PACE TO FINISH WITH MOST INTERCEPTIONS IN TEAM HISTORY

The Patriots had four interception in the win against the Jets and now have 18 for the season and are on pace to finish the year with 41 interceptions. The most interceptions in the modern era was the 1986 San Francisco 49ers with 39. The Patriots 18 interceptions through the first seven games is the most since the 1996 Green Bay Packers had 20 interceptions through the first seven games. The Patriots finished the 2018 season with a total of 18 interceptions. The most interceptions in the Belichick era was 29 by the 2003 Patriots team.

PATRIOTS HAVE THIRD GAME WITH FOUR INTERCEPTIONS

The Patriots finished the game with four interceptions. It is the third time in 2019 that the Patriots have had four interceptions in a game. They had four picks at Miami on Sept. 15 and four interceptions at Buffalo on Sept. 29. It is the second time in team history that the team has had three games with four interceptions. The Patriots also had three games with four interceptions in 1962.

PATRIOTS EARN 28TH SHUTOUT AND 11TH UNDER BELICHICK;

The Patriots earned their 28th shutout in franchise history, 11th under Bill Belichick and second shutout of the 2019 season. The Patriots beat Miami 43-0 in Week 2 on Sept. 15. It marks the second time that Belichick has led the Patriots to two shutouts in the same season. He also had two shutouts during the 2003 season. It is the third shutout of the New York Jets (20-0 in 1971 and 24-0 in 1974).

PATRIOTS LIMIT JETS TO JUST 73 NET YARDS PASSING;

THIRD TIME IN 2019 THAT AN OPPONENT HAS BEEN HELD UNDER 100 NET YARDS PASSING

The Patriots limited the Jets to just 73 yards passing. It is the third time in 2019 that the Patriots have limited their opponent to under 100 yards passing. The Patriots limited the Jets to 69 net yards passing in Week 3 and 78 yards in Week 5 at Washington. Jets QB Sam Darnold had just 11 completions for 86 gross yards for a QB rating of 3.6.

PATRIOTS WIN FOURTH ROAD GAME OF 2019; SURPASS THE THREE ROAD WINS OF 2018

The 2019 Patriots are 4-0 on the road in 2019, exceeding the 2018 road win total. In 2018, the Patriots finished 3-5 on the road. Overall since 1994, the Patriots have the best road record with a 128-76 record.

PATRIOTS IMPROVE TO 4-0 IN AFC EAST PLAY IN 2019

The Patriots are 4-0 in AFC East play and own the NFL's best Divisional record since 2001 with a 90-24 record.

DEFENSE HOLDS ON THIRD DOWN

The Patriots continued to be strong on third down, holding the Jets to just 2-of-11 on third down. Overall, the Patriots have held teams to just 12-for-84 (14.3 pct) on third down so far in 2019. The fewest third downs allowed in a 16-game season is 49 by 1991 Saints.

PATRIOTS CONVERT FIRST FIRST DOWN OF THE 2019 SEASON

The Patriots converted their first fourth down attempt of the 2019 season when QB Tom Brady completed a 7-yard pass to TE Ben Watson on a fourth-and-6 from the Jets 35-yard line.

PATRIOTS RECORD FIRST SAFETY SINCE 2017

The Patriots recorded a safety in the third quarter when the Jets fumbled the snap out of the end zone. It is the first safety since the Patriots DL Eric Lee tackled Bryce Petty in the end zone vs. N.J. Jets on Dec. 31, 2017.

PATRIOTS SCORE 30 POINTS FOR SIX TIME

The Patriots have scored at least 30 points in six out of their seven games so far in 2019.

BRADY MOVES UP ON MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL TD LIST

Brady has 49 touchdown passes on Monday Night Football, fourth-most in Monday Night Football history, behind Dan Marino (74), Brett Favre (69) and Drew Brees (52).

BRADY WINS 17TH GAME ON MONDAY NIGHT TO MOVE OUT OF A TIE WITH STEVE YOUNG

Brady won his 17th game on Monday Night Football, to move out of a tie with Steve Young (17) into sole possession of third place for the most wins by a starting quarterback on Monday Night Football behind Dan Marino (20) and Brett Favre (19).

WR Phillip Dorsett scored on a 26-yard pass from Tom Brady in the first quarter and now has a career-high of four touchdowns in 2019. He had three touchdown receptions in 2018

DEVIN MCCOURTY RECORDS FIFTH INTERCEPTION OF 2019

DB Devin McCourty intercepted Jets QB Sam Darnold deep in Jets territory in the first quarter for his fifth interception of the 2019 season. He has now recorded five or more interceptions in a season three times. He totaled seven interceptions as a rookie in 2010 and five in 2012. He leads the NFL with his five interceptions and has more interceptions in 2019 than 14 other NFL teams.

TERRENCE BROOKS GETS FIRT PICK OF THE SEASON

DB Terrence Brooks had his first interception of the season when he picked off QB Sam Darnold in the end zone.

PATRIOTS WIN WHEN SONY MICHEL SCORES

The Patriots are 12-0 when Sony Michel scores a touchdown (regular and postseason). He scored three touchdowns in the win against the Jets. The Patriots are 4-0 in 2019 with a Michel touchdown.

MICHEL SETS CAREER HIGH WITH THREE TOUCHDOWNS

Michel scored on a 3-yard run in the first quarter, a 1-yard run in the second quarter and a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter for his first career regular season three-touchdown game. He had two rushing touchdowns on Oct. 14, 2018 vs. Kansas City. TE BEN WATSON PLAYS FIRST GAME FOR THE PATRIOTS SINCE 2009

TE Ben Watson played in his first game of the Patriots of the 2019 season and his first since the 2009 season. Watson played his first six seasons in New England, after joining the team as a first-round draft pick out of Georgia in 2004. It was his first start as a member of the Patriots since Dec. 13, 2009 vs. Carolina. He caught a 10-yard pass from Tom Brady in the first quarter, his first for the Patriots since a 3-yard pass from Brady in the fourth quarter of an AFC Wild Card game vs. Baltimore on Jan. 10, 2010. He finished the game with three receptions for 18 yards.

TE ERIC TOMLINSON MAKES PATRIOTS DEBUT

TE Eric Tomlinson made his debut in a Patriots uniform after being signed earlier in the week. He started in a two-tight end alignment. He caught a 1-yard pass from Tom Brady in the fourth quarter.

WR PHILLIP DORSETT RETURNED TO ACTION

WR Phillip Dorsett returned to action after missing a game due to injury.

DB DURON HARMON MAKES SECOND START OF THE SEASON IN PLACE OF PATRICK CHUNG

DB Duron Harmon started in place of Patrick Chung, who was out with an injury. He also started for Chung due to injury at Washington on Oct. 6.

DEATRICH WISE MAKES FIRST START OF THE 2019 SEASON

DL Deatrich Wise made his first start of the 2019 season. He started in three games as a rookie in 2017 and five games in 2018.

LB ELANDON ROBERTS PLAYS FULLBACK

LB Elandon Roberts played on offense at fullback for a few plays on the goal line in the second quarter and in the fourth quarter.
