TEAM NOTES PATRIOTS OFFENSE GENERATES SEASON-HIGH IN TOTAL YARDS
The Patriots offense generated a season-high of 382 total yards with 125 rushing yards and 257 passing yards. The Patriots previous best was the 328 yards in the win at Chicago.
PATRIOTS OFFENSE PRODUCED 26 FIRST DOWNS
The Patriots offense produced a season-high 26 first downs. The team's previous high in 2024 was 20 first downs at Tennessee on Nov. 3. It was the most first downs by the Patriots since producing 32 first downs vs. Jacksonville on Jan. 2, 2022.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
VEDERIAN LOWE SCORES ON A 4-YARD TOUCHDOWN PASS
T Vederian Lowe reported as an eligible receiver and caught a 4-yard touchdown pass from QB Drake Maye in the fourth quarter. Lowe is the fourth Patriots offensive lineman to catch a touchdown pass and first since T Nate Solder caught a 16-yard touchdown pass from QB Tom Brady in the third quarter of the 2014 AFC Championship game vs. Indianapolis on Jan. 18, 2015. T Tom Ashworth caught a 1-yard touchdown pass from QB Tom Brady in the first quarter on Dec. 17, 2005 vs. Tampa Bay. C Pete Brock caught a 6-yard touchdown pass from QB Steve Grogan in the fourth quarter at the New York Jets on Nov. 21, 1976. It was the 10th time that a Patriots offensive lineman caught a pass in a game.
MARCUS JONES HAS FIRST PLAY ON OFFENSE IN 2024
CB Marcus Jones played on offense for the first time in 2024 in the third quarter and had his first career rushing attempt with a 5-yard run. It marked his first offensive snap since the 2023 season-opener vs. Philadelphia on Sept. 10, 2023 when he played on one offensive play. Jones was in on a second offensive play in the fourth quarter. He played on offense in five games as a rookie in 2022 and caught 4 passes for 78 yards with a 48-yard touchdown reception. Jones also led the team with 9 total tackles.
HENRY EXTENDS STREAK WITH A RECEPTION
TE Hunter Henry extended his streak to 14 straight games with a reception with a 9-yard reception in the first quarter. It is the longest streak for a Patriots tight end since Martellus Bennett's streak of 18 games extending from 2016 to 2017. The last game when Henry did have a reception was on Nov. 26, 2023 at the New York Giants.
HENRY LED THE TEAM WITH 6 RECEPTIONS
Henry led the team with 6 receptions for 63 yards. It is the fourth time in 2024 that he has had at least 6 receptions in a game. He had 8 vs. Seattle (9/15) and at Jacksonville (10/20) and 7 at Tennessee (11/3).
BOURNE SCORES HIS FIRST TOUCHDOWN OF THE SEASON
WR Kendrick Bourne scored his first touchdown of the season on a 10-yard pass from QB Drake Maye in the first quarter to culminate a7-play, 77-yard drive. Bourne finished the game with 5 receptions for 70 yards and the touchdown.
BARMORE MAKES 2024 DEBUT
DT Christian Barmore entered the game at 9:33 of the first quarter for his first snaps of the 2024 season. He finished the game with 2 solo tackles.
DOUGLAS RETURNS PUNTS
WR DeMario Douglas lined up to return a punt in the first quarter after CB Marcus Jones left with an injury. He was not credited with a return in the game. In 2023, Douglas returned 11 punts for 56 yards as a rookie.
DRAKE MAYE SETS CAREER HIGHS
QB Drake Maye completed 30-of-40 passes for 282 yards with 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. His 30 completions and his 282 yards were both season highs.
LINEUP NOTES
• S Kyle Dugger returned to the starting lineup after missing three straight games due to injury.
• LB Christian Elliss returned to the starting lineup after missing a game due to injury.
• LB Yannick Ngakoue made his debut with New England in the first quarter.
• DT Christian Barmore made his 2024 debut after being activated off the Reserve/NFI List. He entered the game at 9:33 of the first quarter. He recorded his first tackle in the second quarter on Rams RB Blake Corum.
• LB Keshawn Banks played in his first NFL regular season game and made his debut with the Patriots on the opening kickoff return. He was elevated to the active roster for a playoff game when he played for Green Bay and made his NFL debut at San Francisco on Jan 20, 2024 in an NFC Divisional playoff game.
• The Patriots started the same offensive line in consecutive weeks for the first time in 2024 with Vederian Lowe at left tackle, Michael Jordan at left guard, Ben Brown at center, Mike Onwenu at right guard and Demontrey Jacobs at right tackle.
