2019 PATRIOTS HAVE FIFTH LARGEST POINT DIFFERENTIAL THROUGH FIRST 11 GAMES

The 2019 Patriots have a+183 point differential through the first 11 games of the season, which ranks fifth-best (through the first 11 games of the season) during the Super Bowl era (since 1966).

PATRIOTS HAVE ALLOWED JUST 117 POINTS IN 2019

The Patriots have allowed 117 points in 2019 through 11 games. Since the NFL moved to a 16-game schedule, only seven teams have allowed under 200 points in a season. The Patriots' 117 points allowed through the first 11 games are fewer than any of those seven teams through the first 11 games. The team is currently on pace to allow 170 points for the season. The 1977 Patriots allowed 217 points in a 14-game season. The Patriots fewest points allowed in a 16-game season was 237 in 2006. The NFL record for fewest points in a 16-game season was the 2000 Baltimore Ravens, who allowed 165 total points. Of the Patriots 117 points allowed this season, 28 points were scored on opponent turnovers returned for touchdowns (one interception and three fumbles returned for touchdowns). The fewest points by a Bill Belichick coached defense was the 1994 Cleveland Browns, who allowed just 204 points.

PATRIOTS DEFENSE HOLD DALLAS' TOP-RANKED OFFENSE IN CHECK

Dallas entered the game with the NFL's top-ranked offense, averaging 444.6 yards per game and were held to 321 yards. Dallas QB Dak Prescott entered the game averaging 322.1 yards per game and was held to 212 yards passing. Dallas entered the game 4th in the NFL with 28.6 points per game and were held to just three field goals for 9 total points.

DEFENSE HOLD DALLAS TOP RANKED THIRD DOWN OFFENSE IN CHECK

The Patriots continued to be strong on third down, holding Dallas to just 2-of-13. Overall, the Patriots have held teams to just 25-for-132 (18.9 pct) on third down in 2019. The fewest third downs allowed in a 16-game season is 49 by the 1991 Saints. Dallas entered the game with the NFL's highest third down conversation rate at 52.1 percent (63-of-121).

THE PATRIOTS DEFENSE HAS ALLOWED JUST NINE TOUCHDOWNS SO FAR IN 2019

The Patriots defense has allowed nine touchdowns so far in 2019. The fewest rush/pass TD allowed in a season since 1970 is 10 in 1970 by the Minnesota Vikings. Since the NFL went to a 16-game schedule, the fewest touchdowns allowed by a defense are the 16 by the 1986 Chicago Bears and the 16 by the 2000 Baltimore Ravens.

PATRIOTS RECORD 20TH INTERCEPTION OF THE SEASON

CB Stephon Gilmore second quarter interception was the Patriots 20th pick of the season. It is the 8th time under Bill Belichick that the Patriots have recorded at least 20 interceptions in a season. The 2019 Patriots are on pace to finish with 29 interceptions. The most interceptions in the Belichick era was 29 by the 2003 Patriots.

PATRIOTS RECORD THIRD BLOCKED PUNT OF THE SEASON;

TIES TEAM RECORD FOR MOST BLOCKED PUNTS IN A SEASON

Matthew Slater blocked a first quarter punt that was recovered by DB Nate Ebner at the Dallas 12-yard line to help set up the Patriots first touchdown. It is the third blocked punt by the Patriots in 2019, tying the team record. The Patriots also blocked three punts in 1986. The Patriots returned their first two blocked punts this season for touchdowns. Rookie DL Chase Winovich returned a first quarter blocked punt by RB Brandon Bolden 6 yards for a touchdown vs. NY Giants on Oct. 10. In the win at Buffalo on Sept. 29 Slater returned a blocked punt by J.C. Jackson 11 yards for a touchdown.

PATRIOTS HAVE HELD OPPONENTS SCORELESS IN 26 QUARTERS

The Patriots have held teams scoreless in 26-of-44 quarters. The most scoreless quarters by a defense since 1970 is 40 by the Baltimore Ravens in 2000.

BELICHICK LEADS THE PATRIOTS TO DOUBLE DIGIT WINS FOR 17TH STRAIGHT SEASON;

Bill Belichick has coached the Patriots to 17 straight seasons with 10 or more wins, adding to his NFL record streak. In 2011, Belichick became the first coach in NFL history with nine straight seasons with at least 10 victories. George Seifert has the second most consecutive 10-win seasons with eight from 1989-1996 for San Francisco.

ONE OF FIVE TEAMS HE IS UNDEFEATED AGAINST

Brady has thrown a touchdown pass to 75 different players in the regular season, extending his record for most touchdown targets by an NFL quarterback after a 10-yard touchdown pass to WR N'Keal Harry in the first quarter.

EDELMAN ON PACE FOR CAREER YEAR;

HAS SEVENTH STRAIGHT GAME WITH AT LEAST FIVE RECEPTIONS

Through the first 11 games of the 2019 season, WR Julian Edelman has 76 receptions for 809 yards and is on pace for 110 receptions for 1,176 yards, which would be a career best. He posted career highs with 105 receptions in 2013 and 1,106 yards receiving in 2016. He has surpassed his 2018 totals of 74 receptions and needs 41 yards to move past his 2018 total of 850 yards receiving. Edelman caught 8 passes for 93 yards against the Cowboys.

Brady threw his 15th touchdown of the season to N'Keal Harry, who wears jersey #15. He threw his 14th touchdown pass of the season at Baltimore to WR Mohamed Sanu, who wears jersey #14.

LB JAMIE COLLINS LED THE TEAM WITH 10 TOTAL TACKLES

LB Jamie Collins led the team with 10 total tackles, the 17th time in his career and the second time in 2019 that he has recorded double-digit tackles. He had 13 total tackles in the win against Cleveland on Oct. 27.

ROOKIE JAKOBI MEYERS HAS CAREER-BEST 74 YARDS

Rookie WR Jakobi Meyers finished with a career-best 74 yards receiving on 4 receptions, including a 32-yard reception in the second quarter.

OL Isaiah Wynn, who was activated to the 53-man roster earlier in the week, returned to action after being placed on injured reserve after Week 2 due to injury and was back in the starting lineup at left tackle.
