Con un fútbol complementario de principio a fin, los Patriots se alzaron esta noche con su séptima victoria al hilo tras vencer con comodidad a los Jets de New York 33-0 en el MetLife Stadium.
La ofensiva comandada por Brady jugó con inteligencia, intentando contrarrestar el excelente juego de pass rushing de los Jets. A pesar de ello, el QB de New England se vio por momentos jugando bajo presión
Brady terminó su buena actuación completando 31 de 45 pases para 249 yardas, 1 TD y 1 INT.
EL QB de New England, jugando sin la presencia del WR Josh Gordon, se la ingenió para conectar con su grupo de receptores donde, además de Julian Edelman (7 recepciones, 47 yardas), Philip Dorsett (3 recepciones, 46 yardas, 1 TD) y James White (7 recepciones, 59 yardas), contó con la buena colaboración del novato WR Jakobi Meyers (5 recepciones, 47 yardas) y del RB Brandon Bolden (4 recepciones, 39 yardas).
Igualmente vimos la participación y colaboración del TE Ben Watson (3 recepciones, 18 yardas).
Por su parte el juego de carrera intentó abrirse paso, sin embargo, el éxito fue mediano ya que solo colaboró con 74 yardas en 34 acarreos, eso sí, fue el RB Sony Michel quien cruzó la línea de anotación en 3 ocasiones.
Vale resaltar el trabajo de fullback desempeñado por el LB Elandon Roberts y el OL James Ferentz.
Defensivamente fue otra demostración brillante por parte de los defensores. El QB Sam Darnold solo completó 11 de 32 pases lanzados, sumando 86 yardas, 1 captura y 4 intercepciones (Devin McCourty, Duron Harmon, Stephon Gilmore y Terrence Brooks .
El QB de New York sintió la presión y fue víctima de la confusión tras el dinamismo y diferentes 'looks' que le presentaba la defensa.
El buen juego de carrera de los Jets liderado por Le'Veon Bell no fue determinante, siendo controlado por la línea defensiva y linebackers de New England que lo limitó a 70 yardas en 15 acarreos.
Los Pats regresan al Gillette para recibir el próximo domingo a los Cleveland Browns.
