Josh Gordon sufrió una lesión al tobillo en los últimos minutos de la primera mitad, lo que dio paso a una mayor actividad por parte de los receptores Jakobi Meyers (4 de 4 para 54 yardas) y Gunner Olszewski (2 de 3 para 34 yardas).

CB Stephon Gilmore solo permitió una recepción de 6 tiros en su dirección, con 4 pases rotos y 1 intercepción. Kyle Van Noy también tuvo un gran juego con 1 captura y 1 balón suelto recuperado que terminó en su anotación.
El juego de carrera de los visitantes tampoco pudo florecer, corriendo en 16 ocasiones para 52 yardas y 0 TDs.
Los equipos especiales también bloquearon un despeje, el cual fue recuperado por Chase Winovich, quien se encargó de llevar el balón hasta la zona de anotación de los Giants.
Un aspecto negativo de esta victoria fue el número de lesiones sufridas por los Patriots, particularmente las de Patrick Chung (pecho), Dont'a Hightower (hombro) y Josh Gordon (rodilla). Hasta el momento no se sabe lo severo de estas lesiones.
Ahora New England, como una semana larga, se prepara para visitar a los Jets el próximo lunes 21 de octubre.
