Siguiendo su racha triunfadora, los Patriots de New England lograron su tercera victoria consecutiva de la temporada, tras su triunfo ante los Jets por 30-14.
Un juego con una aceptable actuación ofensiva liderada por Tom Brady (28 de 42 pases para 306 yardas y 2 TDs).
Como es costumbre, el QB distribuyó sus pases entre sus diferentes receptores (8). Julian Edelman (7 recepciones, 62 yardas, 1 TD), Josh Gordon (6 recepciones, 83 yardas) y Phillip Dorsett (6 recepciones, 53 yardas, 1 TD) fueron los receptores más efectivos de la tarde.
Edelman abandonó el partido tempranamente debido a una lesión al pecho.
El juego de carrera (sin James White que tenia permiso para ausentarse debido al nacimiento de su hijo) hizo lo necesario con Rex Burkhead al control de las acciones (11 acarreos, 47 yardas, 1 TD).
Al final el grupo de RBs realizó 27 carreras para un total de 68 yardas y 2 TDs.
Vale anotar que el QB Jarrett Stidham tuvo una participación fugaz en el partido, ingresó faltando 8:41 para el final pero fue víctima de una intercepción que terminó en uno de los 2 touchdowns de los Jets.
Stidham completó 2 de 3 pases para 14 yardas y 1 INT, antes de cederle su lugar a Brady que reingresó al partido faltando 6:22 para el final.
El otro touchdown de los Jets se produjo con los equipos especiales cuando Gunner Olszewski se aprestaba a recibir un balón, pero este se le escapa de las manos (toque sin recepción) siendo recuperado por los Jets que lo llevan hasta la zona de anotación.
Por su parte la defensa hizo otro tremendo trabajo, dominando a su antojo a la defensiva de New York que no les pudo anotar ni un solo punto.
El QB de los Jets, Luke Falk terminó su actuación completando 12 de 22 pases para 98 yardas, 5 sacks y 1 INT. El juego de carrera de los Jets, con el gran Le'Veon Bell solo contribuyó con 35 yardas en 18 acarreos.
Jamie Collins encabezó al grupo defensivo con 2 de un total de 5 capturas logradas. Collins (7) y Danny Shelton (6) fueron los lideres en tackleos.
Devin McCourty también logró una intercepción.
Resumiendo
A pesar que la ofensiva hizo un buen trabajo, no fue una de sus mejores actuaciones. Por el contrario, la defensa sigue brillando demostrando versatilidad y profundidad en todas sus líneas.
