En un partido poco agradable para la vista, los Patriots lograron su décima victoria de la temporada al vencer 13-9 a los Dallas Cowboys.
Fue un partido jugado bajo una lluvia incesante y un viento que soplaba con fuerza, lo que ocasionó que el juego sea deslucido y poco efectivo por el aire y en los goles de campo.
Brady logró conectar con sus armas aéreas cuando la necesidad imperaba, teniendo a Julian Edelman como su receptor más efectivo (8 de 12 para 93 yardas). El novato Jacobi Meyers fue su segundo blanco al receptar 4 de 9 balones para 74 yardas. Vale mencionar que el novato N'Keal Harry logró el primer TD de su carrera al recibir un pase de Brady de 10 yardas.
Al final el QB de New England completó 17 de 37 pases para 190 yardas y 1 TD.
Debido al clima inclemente, el partido que hizo New England contó con una buena dosis de juego terrestre, el cual sumó 101 yardas, 81 de las cuales fueron logradas por el corredor más efectivo: Sony Michel (20 intentos, 85 yardas).
La defensa de los Patriots logró otra buena actuación. Stephon Gilmore controló con acierto al WR Amari Cooper quien solo logro 1 recepción de 8 yardas, el WR vio 4 balones lanzados en su dirección. Por su parte el CB J.C Jackson controló al WR Michael Gallup, limitado a 3 recepciones de 6.
En los equipos especiales el capitán Matthew Slater logró una de las jugadas más importante del partido al bloquear un despeje que fue recuperado por Nate Ebner. Brady aprovechó el campo corto de 12 yardas para anotar su único TD tras un pase de 10 yardas a Harry.
El pateador Nick Folk no tuvo una buena tarde, viéndose perjudicado por el clima y fallando 2 goles de campo (46 y 48 yardas) y anotando otros 2 (44 y 42 yardas)
Al final el juego aéreo de Dak Prescott completó 9 de 33 pases para 212 yardas y 1 INT.
El juego aéreo de los Cowboys también estuvo controlado al sumar 109 yardas en 29 acarreos.
Los Patriots ahora se dirigirán a Houston el próximo. domingo para enfrentar a los Texans.
