Patriots Release WR John Jiles from the Practice Squad

The Patriots announced today that WR John Jiles has been released from the practice squad. He was signed to the practice squad on Sept. 24.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Patriots announced today that WR John Jiles has been released from the practice squad. He was signed to the practice squad on Sept. 24.

Jiles, 24, was originally signed by the New York Giants as a rookie free agent out of West Florida on May 10, 2024. The 6-foot-3, 220-pounder, was released by the Giants on Aug. 25, 2024. He finished his college career at West Florida after stops at Fort Scott (Kan.) community college and Virginia Union. In his 2023 season at West Florida, Jiles started in all 12 games and set a school record with 1,255 receiving yards on 66 receptions with 16 touchdowns.
