FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Patriots announced today that DE Truman Jones has been signed to the practice squad and G Michael Jordan has been released from the practice squad.
Jones, 24, was originally signed by the Kansas City Chiefs as a rookie free agent out of Harvard on May 6, 2023. The 6-foot-3, 255-pounder, spent all of the 2023 season and part of the 2024 season on the Chiefs practice squad. He was released from the Kansas City practice squad on Nov. 26, 2024. He played in 30 games for Havard and finished with 88 total tackles and 28½ sacks.
Jordan, 26, started in 11 games for the Patriots in 2024 at left guard. He was elevated to the active roster from the practice squad for the first two games of the season and started in both games and was also elevated to the active roster this past week. The 6-foot-6, 315-pounder was signed to the 53-man roster from the practice squad on Sept. 16, 2024, released on Nov. 26 and signed to the practice squad on Nov. 29. Jordan was signed by New England to a futures contract on Jan. 24, 2024. He originally entered the NFL as a fourth-round draft pick (136th overall) by Cincinnati in the 2019 NFL Draft out of Ohio State. Jordan was released by New England on Aug. 28 and signed to the practice squad on Aug. 29. He has played with Cincinnati (2019-20), Carolina (2021-22) and then spent the 2023 season on the Green Bay practice squad. Overall, he has played in 67 games with 40 starts.
