Patriots Place DT Jaquelin Roy on Injured Reserve

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Patriots announced today that DT Jaquelin Roy has been placed on injured reserve.

Roy, 24, was signed by New England to the practice squad on Sept. 10, 2024 and then signed to the 53-man roster on Oct. 5, 2024. The 6-foot-3, 305-pounder, originally entered the NFL as a fifth-round draft pick (141st overall) by Minnesota in the 2023 NFL Draft out of Louisiana State. He played in 12 games with one start last season for the Vikings and finished with 8 total tackles. Roy was released by Minnesota on Aug. 27, 2024. Roy has played in six games with one start for New England this season and has 17 total tackles and 2 sacks.
