FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Patriots announced today that CB Alex Austin has been activated to the 53-man roster. Austin played in the first three games before being placed on injured reserve on Sept. 28. In addition, the Patriots released CB Marco Wilson.
Wilson, 25, was claimed off waivers and awarded to New England from Arizona on Dec. 8, 2023. The 6-foot, 191-pounder, was originally a fourth-round draft pick by Arizona (136th overall) out of Florida in the 2021 NFL Draft. Overall, he has played in 54 games with 37 starts and has 174 total tackles, 3 interceptions, 19 passes defensed and 3 forced fumbles. Wilson played in 10 games with New England in 2024 and accumulated 15 total tackles and 1 pass defensed.
