Brian McDonough enters his first season with the Patriots as a full-time assistant strength and conditioning coach in 2024 after working with the team as a consultant for over 20 years.
McDonough has 27 years of cumulative experience in strength and conditioning developing athletes from the NFL, NHL, MLB, as well as the high school and collegiate ranks. He previously owned and operated a sports performance business for over 20 years.
McDonough graduated from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth where he played football. He holds a master's degree in applied exercise science with a concentration in strength and conditioning from Concordia University Chicago and holds certification from USA Weightlifting.
Brian and his wife, Shauna, have two daughters, Lyla and Cali.
