FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots announced that they have released WR Kenny Britt.
Britt, 29, is a veteran of nine NFL seasons with the Tennessee Titans (2009-13), the St. Louis/L.A. Rams (2014-16), Cleveland Browns (2017) and Patriots. Britt was signed by the Patriots on Dec. 13, 2017, after being released by Cleveland on Dec. 8. The 6-foot-3, 230-pounder was originally a first-round draft pick of Tennessee (30th overall) out of Rutgers in 2009 NFL Draft.
Britt has played in 116 NFL games with 76 starts and has totaled 329 receptions for 5,137 yards and 32 touchdowns. Britt's best statistical season was in 2016 with the L.A. Rams after finishing with 68 receptions for 1,002 yards and five touchdowns.
After joining New England in December, Britt played in three games and caught two passes for 23 yards.
