FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Patriots announced today that they have signed rookie free agent WR JaQuae Jackson (pronounced – JUH-quay) and released first-year WR T.J. Luther.
Jackson, 24, originally was signed by the Atlanta Falcons as a rookie free agent out of Rutgers on April 30, 2024. The 6-foot-1, 184-pounder, was released by the Falcons on June 4, 2024. Last season, Jackson played in 13 games with 12 starts and finished second on the team with 361 yards on 22 receptions with one touchdown. He played his four seasons at California (Pa.).
Luther, 24, originally was signed by the New York Jets as a rookie free agent out of Gardner-Webb on May 5, 2023. The 5-foot-11, 195-pounder, spent the majority of his rookie season on the New England practice squad after he was released by the Jets. He spent three seasons at Wofford before transferring to Gardner-Webb for his final season in 2022.
